This GPA calculator determines GPA according to a 4.0 scale that distinguishes between grades with a '+' or '-'.  (This grading scale went into effect beginning the Fall 2006 semester.)

To use this GPA calculator to determine GPA in courses taken before Fall 2006, in which there was no distinction between '+' or '-', simply enter A+, A, A- as an A, and B+, B, B- as a B, etc.
