Ohio Wesleyan’s unique Teaching Fellows Program is open to exceptional first–year students with a stated interest in teaching at the pre-kindergarten to high school level. Criteria for admission are:
If you are interested in applying for the Teaching Fellows program, you should state on your OWU application that you are interested in education. If you are invited to compete for the program, you will have an interview with a faculty member from the education department. Based on your academic record and personal interview, the Education Department will select those who will be named Teaching Fellows. A distinct advantage of joining the program is that you will be quickly introduced to all of the faculty and resources within the education department in your first year on campus. These contacts will deepen as you continue your journey to become an outstanding teacher. Benefits of the Teaching Fellows Program include:
