Biography

Dr. White is Ohio Wesleyan’s Middle Childhood Education program director. Her diverse teaching experience includes work in an alternative middle school, a psychiatric facility, and a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Additionally, she has taught as a member of a teaching team in a traditional middle school. She has a special interest in preparing individuals to teach diverse students in diverse settings. Her teaching interest includes education psychology, mathematics education, and middle childhood education. She is currently working on research examining the relationships between preservice teachers’ goal orientation, self-efficacy, and reflexivity. She is currently President-Elect of the Ohio Middle Level Professors Association.
